I was a young man when I preached the gospel in a small Gospel Hall in a small village in South Ayrshire. I remember Jim Anderson who invited me to preach. Like me, he was a history teacher although he became a college lecturer in Ayr College. Jim was on fire for the Lord and was a great evangelist. That Gospel Hall closed many years ago as did many similar halls all over Ayrshire. I was delighted to hear that there is the start of a work for God in this village. Charles Kingsman and his wife Jennifer are involved in a church plant in their own village. Charles can be described as a trophy of grace - he was miraculously saved from a life of addiction and sin and his life has been changed miraculously.

Here is Charles' post on Facebook about the launch of this church.
What a night we had at the launch🚀 of House of prayer community church it was packed to capacity 110 seats we put out and we had to put out more 🙌 2 amazing testimony’s & I spoke on the divine exchange, people cryed out to God with tears in there eyes people asked God in for the first time also 🙌❤️🔥it was an amazing night well done to My wife Jenny and the rest of the team for all the hard work but God had his way thanks to everyone for there support life’s are being changed 🙌❤️🔥🔥😁 we are open this Sunday night the 23rd July with a local boy Adam Holland sharing his amazing story also a main message of hope we hope to see you there 👍

It would be great if every Christian who reads this blog could spend a few moments in prayer for this work in the village of Annbank. Pray especially for Charles that he will have God's wisdom and grace and guidance as he takes the lead. Any work for God is a target for the enemy - Satan will know what is happening in this village and he will take steps to prevent people becoming Christians. Satan wants men and women to remain in their state of addiction and slavery to sin. He does not want them to be set free.
